so i see some people like to do resonator and muffler delete on our cars....i would probably want to keep a resonator and gut my mufflers will i get any gain off this or more of a loss....plans were a 3 inch downpipe and resonator/straight pipes..

Only 'gain' your going to get from gutting your mufflers is a sh*tty sounding car.

Oh yeah, by the way. Good luck on getting those stock mufflers apart.

^^^Perfect choice, the stock catback will flow well enough that it won't become that much of a restriction till you get around 300whp mark and will keep your GP pretty quiet as well, so that you don't have to hear the ****ty exhaust note that the 3800's produce. If you want to get rid of the stock resonator I'd suggest getting a glasspack to replace it with to help get rid of the nasty rasp these engines produce.
