Exhaust Work?

Mine droned with the turbo's at first but I unclamped my tips, moved them back about 1/2 inch, and it got rid of it....I had them a little too far in since I had to cut the others off, lost about 1/2'" of pipe, didn't think of that when I was welding the mufflers up

is it even possible to get a nice sounding grand prix? What i would really love is to get my car to sound like my dads gp but maybe a little louder he has an 06 3.8L but its one of the ones with the body kit and diffrent exhaust if you know what im talking about

It's because nicer sounding 3800's have converters or HFC, a BIG resonator, and quiet mufflers for the most part.

in short: not really. its the firing order of the motor and the headers we have to run that make the exhaust sound crappy.

well the rwd 3800 and the fwd 3800 are basicly the exact same thing arent they only diffrence is the oil filter location so if someone really wanted to couldnt they make a gp sound the same way

I think you missed the point of the way the exhaust is setup. FWD 3800 exhaust setup vs. a RWD one is a HUGE difference.

i know theres a hige diffrence lol what im saying is if somwone wanted to could they run two diffrent pipes I know thats a stupid waste of time and money but idk It dosent have to sound great just better idk why i asked

it'd still be unequal length, making the exhaust pulses hit one another. in order to make an equal length header set youd have all sorts of stupid twists and bends on the rear header. therefore, not worth the effort. keep your car quiet and enjoy the blower whine.
