Exhaust manifold removal

I have a cracked exhaust manifold that I want to change. It's the left - front one luckily. I havent seen any posts on anyone doing this. You all know there is not much room there if the nut/stud breaks and it has to be extracted out. Just wanting to know if anyone has sucessfully done this without breakage? I know to use heat & PB. I just don't want to even try this if I would end up having to pull the head off - or motor out.

Take to an exhaust shop??????

This is a DD, so time is an issue.

Any replies would be appreciated.......

Undo the crossover bolts, Undo the nuts on the manifold. Bend the oil tube bracket so it can come off the stud. and pull the manifold off. Take some PB blaster/Penetrating oil and spray on all the nuts and bolts the night before
 
One thing I forgot, you will need to pull the plug wires and I always pulled the plugs out aswell. That way you dont bust any
 


Sounds to easy, no offense. Mine is the devil in blue GP. So I assume no stud replacement?

What other kind of info do ya need?

It's pretty straight forward...only other thing I recommend is letting the 2 mani bolts that connect it to the crossover soak in PB Blaster overnight...before you attempt to remove them.
