Exhaust Glowing Red!!!!

My exhaust manifold and down pipe are glowing red hot and you can smell the metal like its burning... Is this the problem of a bad CAT??? My car has been stuttering at high RPM or whenever the SC kicks in for awhile....Oh also does anyone know what these cars are like with no Cat??? Loud?? Too Loud??

Any Ideas??? Thanks in advance
 


Definitly sounds like a clogged cat. Replace it, or go even better with headers or just a 3" downpipe with high flow cat. You'd probably notice a huge difference the second you touch the gas pedal if the one you have now is that bad.
 
Any suggestions on where I should get it/good prices, what exactly I should get if Im gonna do a 3" down pipe and high flow cat ???
 
Ummm, get the downpipe if you get the downpipe?

zzperformance. 3" with a high flow cat...it all bolts in like factory. done.
 




Ya I was looking at em last night thanks for all the info guys, just one last question....Bwolf is it even worth it to go with the 304 or is it a waste of money, might be a stupid question but they say it can somewhat improve performance????
 
the stainless will just last longer, but honestly even the mild steel should outlast how long you have your car.

Nope it won't improve performance and as bio said the normal downpipe will most likely outlive the car.
