Again, IMO that is a great price installed. And if the guy offered me 3” for the same price, I would have taken it, doubt many ppl would have turned it down. And deciding to get rid of that old resonator was another easy choice. Especially when you have your “local exhaust guy” guiding your decisions.

But I can see why a few ppl wanted you to keep that resonator. Last week I had this jacked up Dodge truck in front of me, the damn thing sounded like it was continuously having a nitrous backfire (without the pieces flying) during acceleration. After the surprise was over, then I got pissed. No sane reason to have that loud of an exhaust on purpose!:th_angry2:
 
$550 for that? I bet that thing rasps like crazy with no resonator...I don't care what you say...you can baby the throttle and keep the rasp down in a video but I bet if you stomp it...it'll sound like every other 3800 car without a resonator...like crap.

Ok I'll take a video of the car drivin by, slap her into nuetral and rev it up. But it's been rainin pretty hard lately so i've been waiting
 


my vote, is it's raspy as hell. 3" is just silly. $550 for that? you could have gotten a name brand catback such as the slp for $523.
 
It's not lol gah I can't wait to prove it to you guys!!! And ya 525 for a name brand...then 100 shipping, then a **** load more to have it installed or do a crappy job yourself. AND you have to wait for it to be delivered. Oh and it's in pieces. Or you can go get it custom done for the base price and have it finished the next day. Now you tell me who's dumb

I think your all so brainwashed into doing the same thing you won't accept anything else. It's common sense! Blow into a small jug, it has a high pitched sound, blow into a big bottle, it's low and deep.

And plus I think I trust a certified exhaust expert over some people online. Again do you have dyno number proof that 3 in is bad? Do you have sound proof?

im gonna do a 3 inch on mine too when i do it. i know unnecessary. but its really just like why not? might as well its not much more money so its worth it

Ha! Certified...that is like taking your car to Jiffy Lube for an oil change. You go ahead and get a video of it...and rev the living god out of it. And yes...you probably lost power...you want sound proof? No resonator in this car...

Your car just might sound a bit deeper since you have aftermarket mufflers...but the same scenario. But don't take my word or anyone else on here that knows these cars...just quit talking and post a video already.
