you take your grand prix to a shop they give it a little test?

ive been to three shops now. one shop to get my front end checked to see what i need to fix, the guy pulls in the garage and starts reving it, then pulls out and gives her a little throttle.

got tires put on my car and the guy at bell tire revs her up pretty good. when they got done he went need for speed around the parking lot lol.

the third shop i got my alignment and the guy took it for a test drive to check the alignment...... and the power lol.

doesnt really bother me to much. maybe just a little, depending on the day.
any of you other guys experiance this at garages?

and no point to this thread, so dont ask lol.
 


They always beat the piss out of your vehicles. Try to break something so you spend more money is the way I look at it.
 
yup, I've had a shop take my car on a "test run" back when I had my 97 gtp.

at the shop I work at, from time to time me or a mechanic will take a car on a road test (it needed it anyway) and kinda beat on it to see what its got, but we always make sure we are far away from the shop so they cant see us. ;)

I dont peel out or nuthing, just a quick jab at the throttle and see what its made of.
 
yeah, theres a diffence between reving her up, then over reving. if they go to far trust me, they will here it.
 


Yes I've had shops do that to my car(s) before.

Only time it has pissed me off bad is when I owned my 91 firebird... I took it in for brakes and tires.. I had to work so I just dropped it off, thinking yeah they won't screw with it. pffff was I wrong. So when I went back (same day) after work, I noticed a very long burn out line in front of their shop :th_angry2:
So I walked into the shop with an odd look, and the shop guy is like "well your all set" and gives me the price. But before I paid I told him lets go outside and look at my car. So we did, I pointed out the burn out marks, and the fresh rubber on the side of my fenderwells. I even pointed out the tires had been spun out on, easy to tell. I demanded a discount because of that ****. Of course they gave me 50% off the original price.
 
back in the day when I worked in the shop,state patrol would always bring their cars in for tires etc.... I always managed to take them for a nice test drive.... you wouldn't believe how many people slowed down when they saw that car behind them lol
 
The average joe just can't contain themselves when they get inside such a badass, beast of a car that is the Grand Prix.
 


got bran new tiers and a guy did a power stand with it i was out there so fast and round house kicked him and we to the police station all in the same day :)
