• The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

Evap System

its listed on that diagram, its on the fuel rail, but thats not your issue at all.

do buy new vac lines and t's. it will run you 5 bucks tops at the parts store. best T's ive found are at advance auto, 2 t's for 2 bucks, vac line is a buck a foot.

the t on the middle is the fpr. new t's vac line bbv to map sensor.

I don't see the map sensor in the back by the firewall. Does my ride need the t vacuum connecting to the map sensor or is that for a different model car?

Also, I can't find where my evaporation canister goes. I'm a little confused with the diagram you posted. Lol

they clip onto a bracket thats bolted to the sc with 2 sc bolts. they are right over the valve cover.
Ok, I see it now I don't know how I missed it......Lol

So, I will need 2 T vacuums. 1 will go on the fpr and the other will go on the nipple under the booster snout.
Is that correct?

you need no t's really if you follow the 97 routing, under the snout goes to the map sensor, off the tree to the fpr, the boost by pass solenoid.

your evap hose starts on the fat nipple on the TB facing the rad. it flips up and over the tb to the rear of the engine.

my evap hose off the tb, mine broke, i made the new line to the hard line. the hard line leads to the evap.

Ok thanks Scotty, I figured it all out. The photos helped out a lot too.
Why did you use the T's for, are there any benefits when you do that?
Just curious!

It's not so special when you consider the H/G/C body cars had the same routing and evap in 96 and 97.

It's the GP people that are "special".
