evap leak need help

so i know my car has an evap leak so a friend of mine said to use a Halloween fog machine as a fog tester. So, i did and it melted part of the evap line...my main question is can the evap line be replaced with standard vaccume lines? and other question is i fi can get someone with a tuner delete the evap and catalyst codes from the pcm will it still pass emissions?
 


Yeah if the codes are deleted and the system is all there you should pass. And yes you can just your vacuum line.
 
ok thanks for the info just one last question. So if i order the PCM from either zzp or say intense racing and order it with the codes deleted then those should be ok to use with an emissions test then?
 
You should be, my state does not do emissions tests, I would find someone from your state to give you a for sure answer.
