Epic Freakin Win -Joke

Street Wolf

Banned

A lawyer runs a stop sign and gets pulled over by a Texas Sheriff's Deputy. He thinks that he is smarter than the deputy because he is a lawyer from New York and is certain that he has a better education then any cop from Texas . He decides to prove this to himself and have some fun at the Texas deputy' s expense.

The deputy says,' License and registration, please.'

'What for?' says the lawyer.

The deputy says, 'You didn't come to a complete stop at the stop sign.'

Then the lawyer says, 'I slowed down, and no one was coming.'

'You still didn't come to a complete stop, Says the deputy. License and registration, please.'

The lawyer says, 'What's the difference?'

'The difference is you have to come to a complete stop, that's the law License and registration, please!' the Deputy says.

Lawyer says, 'If you can show me the legal difference between slow down and stop, I'll give you my license and registration; and you give me the ticket. If not, you let me go and don't give me the ticket.'

'That sounds fair. Please exit your vehicle, sir,' the deputy says.

At this point, the deputy takes out his nightstick and starts beating the daylights out of the lawyer and says, 'Do you want me to stop, or just slow down?'

That's an oldie but goodie that I haven't heard in a long time. First time I came across that joke it was in an issue of CarToons.

For those of you that never heard of it, CarToons was like Mad Magazine but all about car stuff.

Finally, someone else that remembers.

Great joke by the way Street.

CarToons contributing artist George Trosley lives in my area. He had one of his cars entered in a car show that a few us did last August. Didn't even realize he was there until they did the trophy presentations; he was one of the Top 75.

The Irony of this thread is I just used that line last night on some stupid Airhead (AKA...Airman in Training) that decided he wanted to argue the issue of a "Complete" Stop...there is no such thing...you either stop or you don't...using the word complete implies there is the chance of partially stopping, which of course in NOT stopping therefore invalidating the phrase all together. Anyway...I actually used that line about if I pull you out of the car and begin beating you do you want me to partially stop, more correctly stated as SLOW DOWN or do you want me to STOP beating you...he shut up then....I gave him his ticket and sent him on his merry way...why, why do people not just cooperate and be polite on traffic stops...this kid WOULD have gotten a warning if he had simply been polite and non-argumentative.

I remember when I was taking my driving test in school, this kid was driving, came up to a light to turn right, slowed down and then proceeded his turn. The instructor was like you just did a rolling stop and that is illegal. I'm sitting in the back going a rolling stop. How can it be a stop if you are still rolling. I don't know, just thought it was a bit funny.

The instructor should of just punched him in the side of the face. Then told him why he did so, kid probably wouldn't do it again. :D
