I'm planning out my new summer rim and tire setup to be ordered, once funds become available. Cruised 1010tires.com, found these & drooled a lil.

I would run 17" x 8.5", 5/114.3 & +40mm on 245/45.
How do you think they would look on my car?
Any talented photoshop users lurking?
Car is lowered w/ SSC on KYB GR-2 and has GXP brakes.

I was leaning towards 17s for performance and less rolling resistance, as this car is soon to be running 80#/hr w/ E85 on a 3.0". Not to mention, I like the minimal gap between my caliper and rim.
 
I agree 18's all the way. I wanted 17s but the 18s look so much better.

Not mention, honestly the couple 1/10s of a second off the 1/4mile time is hardly worth the drool factor that comes with nice flush sexiness that is 18x8.5 on 35mm offset.
 
To be honest if doing 17's i'd suggest 225/55r17 on 7.5" wide wheels.

yokohama S.drive's seem to be a good value for a summer only tire.

Also 1010 is canadian, tirerack will be much cheaper for you.

If you wanna go wider, run 255/45r17 on an 8.5" wide wheel.

Offset in 30's would be best to clear your trailing arm and allow you to maintain full lock to lock.

245/45 is 3.6% slower, 255/45 is around 2%, 225/55 is basically stock.
