Hello everyone I am attempting to remove the engine from my girlfriends 99 grandprix gt 4 door 3.8 non supercharged car. I now beleve that I went about this the wrong way I am stuck on the last bellhousing bolt. I cant seem to get to it . Do i have to take out the tranny with it or is there a trick I dont know about? any help would be great thanks

Sounds like the "B***h bolt" I have not removed a engine/tranny myself, but was told you need around 2 feet of extensions, and you can get to it from the passenger wheel well.

Ahhh....yes...the good old b!tch bolt. Yes, what 'Goose said - passenger side - and some creative extension usage.

About two feet of extensions, a 6-pack, and some soap to wash your mouth out from all the cussing your gonna do :p

I use close to 4 feet of extension through the wheel well or if you go in with the power steering pump out of the way you can use less extension under the rear exhaust manifold.
