So Here i am, with a 3800 series 2 (N-A) and i have big plans for it... but i want to swap a 2003 GTP engine into it (built for turbo with a blocked off s-c) {getting the engine for a good price} but i came across something.... and would like to know if it's even possible...

Is a new GM 3900 V6 with a 4T65e transmission in any way, shape size or form, possible to fit into a 97-03 GP??

So is this even worth considering looking into?? or??

It'd be nice to have a newer more sophisticated engine in my car, but i think there will be to manny problems with it.... What are your thought, views, and oppinions on this subject??

(sorry if it's in the wrong section, i'm just curious)
 


Not worth it.

The 3.9 is a terrible motor.

Gas hog, they develop idle problems later down the road, all the wires and pcm and everything is different, too much work for no gain.
