Have a question hope someone can help me. I have a 99 Grand Prix gtp and my engine decide to say gud bye to me. I have found a 06 Grand Prix gt engine. Can I transfer that engine into my 99 gtp? Hope someone can answer this question. Thanks!
 


Not directly but it will bolt right in. You need to either use your blower and lim or buy an adapter plate for the throttle body, the Series III uses a different style of throttle body and they bolt up differently and as far as I know the newer throttle body will not work in the 97-03 cars. You will need to modify a few other things as well but they are very simple and won't take much time at all. Let me dig up the Gen 5 swap thread to give you some more info on what all will need to be done.

Personally I would keep the Gen V on it and just modify what needs to be modified.

yes the 06 grand prix gt motor is the supercharged one. so basically i have to worry about the throttle body if im reading this right.
 
Pretty much.

Get a Gen V to Gen III throttlebody adapter, swap your fuel rail over (since the 04+ are returnless) and then swap the whole motor in.
