Engine torque noise

2001 GTP 192k - I have a knocking noise when I accelerate and the same noise as I let off the pedal. I thought for sure it was motor mounts but I have replaced both trans mount and lower mount and no change. The dog bones appear to be in good condition. I have also just replaced the transmission. Any ideas?

post a vid, could be anything from a cracked flex plate to a rod knock.

Does it make the noise when in idle? It could be a bad supercharger.

The noise isn't related to rpm, it's more like how a wooden floor would creak as you apply your weight and then creak again as you unweight it.

Could be subframe bushings, or maybe control arm bushings.

I had a friend put the e brake on, his left foot on the brake and put in drive and pulse the throttle. I can observe the engine rock back under the torque load, then after it returns to idle the engine slowly rocks forward again I can hear the slow creaking sound. I have ruled out the motor mounts as they are both new.

From the driver seat the sound is coming from the center of the engine compartment and not one side or the other.

My first thought was a bad CV joint.
