• The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

Engine swap advice???

your not getting it, your doing the 300 bucks worth of work on your own. chaining a engine hoist to a engine and removing it is nothing, after its all unhooked that is.

unplugging and unbolting the engine, thats all the real work.

go rent a hoist, if your taking it all down to be ready for removal on your own, go the next 10% and pull it yourself. and save all that money.
Also a very good point. The only problem really is I can't find a place to rent a hoist, and I really don't wanna buy the crappy advanced auto one for 250$. I guess I'll just do a better search for harbor freight lol

If you saw how easy it is to remove the engine from the top then you would never drop the sub frame unless you absolutely have to.

For taking the motor out the top there are two obstacles: The rear tranny bracket and the lower transmission bolt near the differential.

man your in PA, i know they have rental places. look for Taylor rental, or any other local tool rental places. google it mang.
