i need help i have an 06 l26 grand prix (n/a) been a decent car its very slightly modded with an short ram intake i made my self and stock plugs msd wires/coil packs single out 40 series flowmaster cat back 180 degree tstat have no check engine light but when i start it up some times get a really rough idle and when lightly accelerating its bucking a lil so i took some tb cleaner and cleaned the throttle body cleaner and cleaned it to no avail it helped with my idle but not my acceleration prob by the drive by wire really sucks im wondering if my egr could be the prob just startin to go bad or the cat gettin clogged i also sea foamed it when i looked into the intake mani thru the tb it was really nasty in there and the car has 5900 miles on it well maintained work in a shop but my mechanics dont look at **** for free also cleaned mass air flow sensor with crc maf cleaner im also wondering if there new msd coils could be takin a dump on me or the icm and info can thanks
 


well today cleaned the tb for second time and bought a new intake filter and the car seemed to be idleing better than check enine light came on so wondering if its due to all the tb cleaner the car seems to be drivin a lil better but shakes on hard accel but does have its pick up back this car is really pissin me off
 
whats the code read? sounds like something with ignition so check plugs and wires etc.. otherwise it doesnt sound like something major. just finding out the problem
 
Well...you actually have to remove the TB from the car and clean both sides of it. It is a common symptom with the '04+ cars.
 
switched to a different size intake pipe and that helped the check engine light went out b4 i had the chance to scan it so most likely due to all the tb cleaner i sprayed in there plus i sprayed in the brake booster took off the charcoal canister on tb and sprayed there and sprayed where the pcv valve goes the car is alot smoother but im guessin im gonna have to pull off the tb but i know for a fact the tb is so clean u can eat off of it after i get the tb off should i spray in the intake manifold?? sometimes when reverse to drive feels like she wants to take off but also feels like its lost alot of pick up still goes this car really sucks anymore causing me to ramble cause im lost dont know what to do
 
ok the hesitation feels like its gone put a new pcv valve in and tomorrow gonna replace all the intake couplers there old and may be causing vacume issues im gettin and intermittent vibration when accelerating and decelerating with out my foot on the gas and the car just coasting to a stop its shaking possible miss fire issue or bad engine mt the car has just turned 60k it still has stock plugs any more advice would greatly be apreciated
