Engine stand run...

Hey guys, hope I'm in the right section.. I have my S/C 3800 on an engine stand. I bought it
after it was taken out of the PO's car. I would like to find a way to hook it up and see if I can
get it to run on the stand... Anyone tried doing this or am I just looking to do a retarded act
that will "F" something up? I bought 2 engines, 2 PCM's and 1 harness. 1 engine has a hole in
the block with only the injectors and the blower attached to it. The other one is complete I
believe. Not sure what PCM goes to what engine. Both engines are out of a '97 Regal GS. If
there is any info on how to condust this test, please help if possible! I am curious to see if it
runs before I put it in my sandrail...
:th_bowdown:
Thanks,

Tonka

The best way is to take your motor to the machine or speed shop with the capability. From there it's reasonable, but usually costly due to all the time to bolt it up etc etc.

To give you an idea..I think mine quoted me $400 or more

Dang Bill! I called the guy at the Speed and Marine shop. He told me $25. He said I can "borrow" the
shop area but, he will help me if needed... Not sure how to take this?? Plus, the engine is on a stand, no
starter, no bell housing to hold starter, no fuel pump and a dude (me) that has no idea what goes where
when hooking it up. Do you have an idea to get me the basic hookup on just to get the motor to fire and
run for about 20 seconds? The harness was taken out the right way but, the PCM's where just "cut" and
removed... Thanks a million!

1. Get a conplete harness and map out the power/ground where it meets the fuse box.
2. Bolt your starter to the block. BTW, it doesn't go to the bell housing
3. Hook up cooling hoses
4, Hook up battery connections
5. Fire in the hole.

That's gonna run great without fuel. :th_winking:
