my 1995 grand prix with the 3.1 just quit while going down the road... turns over but no start... back at farm i gave her a small spray of either and she popped right off. was told the icm and/or coils were bad so i threw on a spare unit a neighbor had resulting in still no start.. The fuel pump turns and and goes off after 3 seconds. Then i looked under hood at fuse panel on passengers side and saw the fuse labled f/inj was burnt so i had the hired man crawl under and unplug the connector for the fuel pump /put in a new 15 amp fuse and turned on the key and rolled the motor over a couple times.. that fuse popped again/now i dont know if it blew when i turned the key to on position/ or, if it blew when i cranked on it. either way the the fuel pump is not the problem as it was disconnected i would think . the fuel injectors are not getting power. i am suspecting a bad wire from f/inj to fuel rails or something happened in the ignition switch.. but i am lost when it comes to chasing electrical problems i`d be grateful if someone could tell me what to test and how to test to isolate fuse popping and fix the car problem. i have more treatments at the hospital coming up soon and this is the only vehicle i have available to get me there. Disconect all injectors, reinstall fuse, then turn key. Fuse pop = not injectors, trace injector wiring, or it could be computer problem.
If the fuse does not pop, replace all injectors.
