Engine running hot

I've been noticing my cars been running a little hotter than normal. Today while at a stop light it spiked up to almost the red section but as it turned green and I drove it, it cooled back down to 2 ticks over halfway. Just did a coolant flush about a month ago.

Weather conditions:95 and 90% humidity.
Trans was only running @ 218' F(avg temp since I've had her)

My thoughts were thermostat, fan or radiator problem??? Any input, past experiences???
Is this common to these cars???

assuming the radiator coolant level is proper this sounds like the fans may not be working properly as it cooled by wind throughput when moving

i just did a coolant flush a few days ago because that isd exactly what mine was doing... which coolant was put in after the flush? if dexcool and the standard green coolant is mixed it will begin to solidify and gunk up causing that to happen. i would let the car cool down and check the radiator cap and make sure there is no gunk on there and check the fluid

I did a full drain, flushed with water, drained and vaccumed all lines and then added the exact amount of dexcool/water mix as per the instructions.

If they are working they are already on when the temp gets up there so it would not make any difference in keeping your temps down. Are they working correctly or not. I would let it cool down a little.......see if you have enough coolant in there, see what condition the coolant is in(looks normal) if that is ok.....start your engine and see while it is sitting there if it comes up to temp and when the fans come on. what t-stat is in there now? Is the coolant flowing properly.....when you filled it up and cycled it did you get all of the air out of the system( ie....through the bleeder on the waterneck and leaving the radiator cap off while the coolant came up to temp and you topped it off............that is where I would start. Please keep us posted. Thermostat could have junk on it too........fwiw.

Yea so I'm retarded. I didn't bleed it off. Everythings ok now that I got the air out of the system. Thanks everyone for your help and suggestions.
