Engine noise Supercharger??

Does anybody know how to check the bearings in a supercharger? I originally thought it was a lifter or a push rod. I am not to sure now since I pulled off the S/C and the intake. Everything looks good. The engine developed a loud tapping like a pulley was going bad. I took all the belts off and still had the noise so I ruled out the S/C but I am not really sure. Anybody help would be greatly apprieciated.

If you pulled the supercharger belt off and the noise was still there it is not the supercharger. It could be a lifter not pumping up.

That was what I was thinking also. But when I turn the supercharger by hand I can hear a sound similar to the noise it was making. The blower would still be turning even with the belt off from the air going through the throttle body and into the intake. Right?

I had a ticking noise on my GT I assumed was a stuck lifter so I drained a quart of oil out and replaced it with a quart of Marvel Mystery Oil and it cured it.

Edit:
The blower would still be turning even with the belt off from the air going through the throttle body and into the intake. Right?
Was the pulley on the S/C turning? I don't think so. It takes more HP to turn the blower than just air flowing through it. That's what the BBV is for.

the noise is there no matter if it is hot or cold. I tore the supercharger apart and I think I have a bearing going bad. The snout bearings are good. The housing of the blower has some wear in it where it looks like the screws of the blower were rubbing it. I am going with new lifters and push rods and a supercharger rebuild. Does anybody have pictures of stock Rocker arms? I think whoever owned this car put aftermarket ones on. I am not really sure.
