Engine limits questions :))

Hi all!

Im new to this and just had a few questions. I want any car that comes with the 3800 Series 2 supercharged engine. I think it's such a wonderful piece of machinery! Anyway, my question...

if if I have colder spark plugs, a cold air intake, a 2.5" downpipe, 180 thermostat and get better serpentine belts on stock internals... What size pulley can I use without doing any damage to my engine? :th_scratchhead:

oh boy oh boy. a stock pulley is all you can run and the colder plugs wont help. read up.

You could run a 3.8" pulley

lol... Two things.

1. Read the SafelyModdin thread, it'll answer a lot of questions.

2. Remember the Golden Rule - You gotta PAY if you wanna PLAY

FAST/CHEAP/RELIABLE

You can only have two of the three at any time, pick wisely!

in other words, don't drop pulleys until you can scan and monitor for knock, be prepared to tune as well to eliminate it (knock). Asking what everyone else has done only provides a roadmap, not assurances you'll be able to do the same.
