Engine light flashing never seen that before?



But once I pulled the second bone out the engine rocked into the fire wall itself I just dont want to over do it and break anything.

were you parked on a slight incline? if so set the e brake, and put the car in neutral, and then back into park, with the e brake still on. that should keep it from pulling like that on you.
 
Great news guys shes good as new! The issue was one of the front three spark plugs I was able to replace a few months ago but not the back cause I couldnt figure it out had a faulty plug wire attached to it, due to the fact that I couldnt replace the back set and put that off for another time I didnt want to replace the plug wires until I could get to the back plugs. And ultimately the problem was when I pulled the plug wires off the casing inside came loose.

Lesson learned do it all or dont do it. Thanks for the help guys if any of you are in the Seattle area ill buy ya a beer!

Heh well for the sake of me and Lil Blacky im glad it was the most simple thing ever but seriously. Im not sure if im just being a tard??? But changing all 6 was a mother f#ck!ng b!tch.

Even with the engine cranked out like 4-5 inches which im still blown away by that we can do that with our engines opens up a whole new world of maintenance for me!:D

Changing plugs is easy compared to some other things on these cars.
 
You can make the front exhaust manifold hit the fan shrouds if u want. But you can asllo get to the rear plugs without rocking it at all. Give it a shot

Glad you found the easy way to do things, makes it much more fun vs being a pain in the ars and leaving you wanting to shoot yourself in the face.

Heh well Im just used to workin on a big K5 that I could literally sit up in and jump into the engine compartment! Those were the days!!!!

Guess you haven't worked on the Ford Triton V8 or Nissan engines either have you. These engines are simple compared to others out there.

I look at it dependant on your current location. Here in Oklahoma it has been over 100* for 14 days straight. You need a 180* just to keep your engine cool, unless your on the highway solid.
I do city driving in the heat of the day, I like my engine to be cooler. Now in NY and NE like you guys are, its debatable during summer and winter you understandably want a 195* if your stock.
 
While I agree...195's suck...people can't seem to grasp the concept that these motors run on average 10-20 degrees hotter than the opening degree of the thermostat. So your "195 is better" ISN'T correct...because techinically...especially if your not tuned and still have dexsludge sloshing around in the radiator...your saying 225 is better. I'd recommend a tune before a colder tstat since tossing a colder tstat in the car really does nothing but hinder mpgs until you lower the fan turn on point with a tune. Also...cop...like I said before...you don't like this site...easy. Don't post. I like the fact you give opinions but other forums are no better or worse. Thanks.
 
ya know, this thermostat temp thing makes no sence to me, the temp on the t-stat only reflects what temp it will open up, your car will still run just as hot as it always does with out one or with what ever temp you put in it, so if you put in a 160 you will have a flowing t-stat at 160 deg, vs 195 and the cars temp will still rise to what ever it runs at. it wont run any cooler in the long run.

or am i missing something?
 
No, your not missing anything.

The point was made that running anything colder than a 195* TStat was stupid...no matter your mods or tune. I disagreed.

Old motor, old technology...they like to run cold.
