I have a 1997 Grand Prix GTP 2 door with the supercharged 3.8L V6,I have puddles of oil on my intake and it's shaking and shuddering when it runs,I have an 8-10 inch vacuum leak somewhere in the system. I dont know where to start can someone help me? the car has 160,000 miles on it right now

Oil problem is leaky valve cover gaskets.

I bet you need the intake gasket done aswell.

Trace vacuum lines and look for cracks, either try carb cleaner to watch for a change in idle or use a smoke machine to find them.

Shaking could be because the car is in need of a tune up really bad. Start fixing this thing up to make it run good.
 
i had the car hooked up to a scan tool in class the other day and its running really lean,I believe its because it has such a bad vacuum leak but I'm not sure,it's currently four points away from throwing a code for the engine running too lean
 
thanks guys,I think for starters I'm gonna get a gasket kit and then I'm gonna put a smoke machine on it to find the vacuum leak/leaks

I had it running good,there was no vacuum leak and it was just bad coils and plugs,but now its doing the same thing again after i opened it up to see what it could really do last night, I got the best quality stock coils i could get and i got stock replacement AC Delco spark plugs,my wires seem fine. I could smell burning rubber really bad,I think part of my issue might be that who ever put the smaller pulley on the supercharger didnt get a smaller belt like they should have but I'm not real sure what my whole issue is. any ideas for me?? oh and I'm running 93 octane fuel
