Engine Guru's, Help Me Understand Ignition Timing

I suppose that would work, but the expense and the extent of the modification needed to run that would be cost prohibitive to most. But what I have seen as solid possibilities would require very little modification and not a terrible amount of work.

In fact, if I could find me a mechanically sound set of L32 heads that needed nothing more than a good cleaning, I would work on trying a few things out. My Isuzu would probably be easier to work on in terms of simplicity, but I am more familiar with the 3800, as well the Isuzu is a 95 and I would not be able to hook up my laptop to it.

I suppose you could use a different injector that has a better nozzle designed to promote more atomization but I have never seen anything like that available for the GP.

....so find the injectors that will do what you want and need, and get some custom machined heads, man!!!

:D

LOL. yeah, its just that easy.

Even if it were, I would still like to try a few of the other ideas Ive ran across on some L32 heads and see if there is any merit to them. Plus it would get me comfortable in pulling an engine down to the heads which I have never done before.

nevermind that custom heads such as those would likely be at least as much as you paid for your car, but hey, if you cant go big, go home

:th_laugh-pointup:

its only money, right?

As far as better atomization goes do gas injectors even come close to the atomization of fuel compared to a diesel injector? We don't even come close the the fuel pressures of a diesel engine.
