Engine Cover Poll... On or off???

Guys and Gals:
As I type, the GP is in the shade of the garage with a coat of wax drying on it.

After a good washing, I removed the plastic engine cover whilst detailing the engine compartment. My question here is do more of you leave the cover on, or remove it and allow the purty S/C to be visible when the hood it up. I would also think that the cover traps engine heat in/around the top of the motor to an extent which cannot be a positive thing for longevity.

Are there any reasons to NOT leave it off?

Your input and opinions please....................Don

take it off, throw it away, buy a ported and polished and powdercoated blower from me, so you can see it!!!!

When i had my 2k. I had it in alot of car shows.
Alway had my engine cover on. I painted it that color shifting paint with base layer of blue then had some green and purple in it.

All other times it was off because it was acting as a blanket keeping the blower hot. And the fact i could not shut my hood with it on LOL

on, no supercharger and it looks better then the upper intake plenum. its also said to reduce noise, but my engine is quiet regardless

i agree take that nasty plastic off! show the blower like the rest of us and if u can and want powdercoat or chrome it =]
