• The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

Endless Problems

Actually it's the more costly fix. Plug the coolant ports and reuse your original UIM. The permanent and cheaper fix.

Racer: you can't really expect that 16 year old gaskets... no matter the mileage should be magically perfect. It's like saying you never expect a tire to dry rot. Yet there's rules out there stating no tire over 10 years will be mounted on a rim by a shop. Because.. after that time, the tire quality is compromised.

Yes that's true. I just wish the previous owners would have taken care of it. Then I wouldn't be stuck with spending all my money on it.

It's funny because a few of us local guys have offered to help him out......but yet he can't flush his coolant and insists on paying a shop to do it and then rant about having no money and wanting to learn.

Stubborn guy I suppose

I guess he"ll either learn to take the help or continue to make his mechanic rich or move to another used car that I'm sure that will have its fair share of problems.

Buy a Honda probably.....then you only have to worry about the veeeeeeetech not engaging and losing that race to the mini van.

I wonder how many old guys here remember back when cars had five digit odometers, because they weren't expected to even make it to 100,000 miles. And when they did, it was something pretty cool. Now, 150-200k is mainstream.
