• The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

emissions

Living in Wyoming has its benefits, for example, safety and emissions are not required to register a vehicle. In the future, I may end up moving to an area where emissions are monitored and it has me thinking if I will be able to pass. as long as I have a catalytic converter, I should pass, right? I have an xp cam and have deleted the P0300 code and I'm not sure if that will affect emissions.

I think every state and sometimes county is different. Here in AZ, as long as your check engine light isn't on, you should pass. Basically, is your car operating within the parameters set by the manufacturer for your model year. I THINK they are looking for things like post cat, and EGR functionality. Oh, and they test your gas cap to make sure it seals properly.

They don't open the hood or look underneath.

That's why you buy a Frozen Boost converter for $40~ and have the EGR/Cat codes turned off.

No one ever will know.

Would have to look into what type of emmisions testing is done in that area to get more specific.
OBD emmisions testing and and actual sniff test are two differnt things along with knowing how hard they look at the vehicle as far as the visual inspection goes.

may be moving to Arizona, so that is good to know.

You can likely do any mod you want.

With cam, IC, headers, EWP etc etc etc, I had no trouble passing emissions where they raise the hood and look as well as check for a converter and ask the pcm if things are good.

Set the codes properly etc, kept the items they'd look for (evap and EGR) and it sailed right through while sounding seriously cammed.
