Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

Alright so I have the wbody store 12" brake upgrade and while I was driving today the bolt that holds the caliper to the slide fell out!!! What should I do I know I need to replace it but how??? What would I ask for at a parts store?

parts store, you need a hardware kit for a 2000 and up camaro front caliper.

google it up first so you can see what your getting.

OK I'm stuck at work all I know is that bolts missing and I can pivot the caliper off the rotor I hope there's no damage to the threads if there is what should I do buy a hole new kit from the w body store?

you lost the short bolt that holds the caliper on right?

the bottom and top bolt are the same, just take off the other bolt from the car and go to the store with it, match the new one, to the one you have.

thats the safe way to go about it.

Yeah ill do that its the bolt that holds the slide and caliper together. Hopefully the threads aren't messed up

wont matter, cause you'll be getting the new sliders with the new bolts. if your rubber boots are worn, get a set of them too.

this is the pic on the site, this is the bolts, and sliders.

i dont think you had it as bad as me bro, my caliper to steering knuckle top bolt fell out, top of caliper fell down and wedged my wheel and locked it up,

i had just exited the highway and had almost came to a stop, about 20mph, all of a sudden wheels locked up and i screetched tires, car would not move.

i heard something bang under the car about a few miles back.

luckily caliper and knuckle were salvagable, rim was scratched up pretty good inside, but no real damage. it was a miracle it did not happen on the highway.

i had never even taken the brakes off, previous owner must not have tightened them down.

i got some red loctite and torqued them to manufacturers spec of 147 ft-lbs. none of the bolts have moved since ;-p

Yeah i can relate to the Michigan roads, i feel your pain:( Same as Michigan winter, some cities use salt some dirt. Eats our cars away...

Hell yeah our roads are awful in Michigan and the sad thing is they said we saved so much money in salt last year that they were Gunna fix a lot.more of our roads......... Don't see that happenING
