Embarrassed by Tahoe?

neither truck spun the wheels, all wheel drive slows you down.( in a stock 6500 lb truck anyways lol) ever drive a 4x4 in and out 4 wheel drive, 4 wheel drive is slower for sure, feels more powerful, but slower.

EDIT: Oh and the AWD SS curb weight is around 5300 lbs. Not 6500.
 
the SS was a extended cab with a 8 foot bed. my 03 gmc standard cab 8 foot bed 4x4 weighed in on a scale at 6400 with me in it. so i would think the SS out weighed my truck, more metal and more interior crap as mine was w/t. base, no power anything. not even a rug, i had the rubber matt floor covering.

Regardless, if a 5.3 'Hoe put that much gap on him, he needs to burn that shiz, make smores and sing kumbaya.

Whoah, 8' bed? Fake SS. There's the problem. All SS trucks are 6.5'.

And the curb weight on mine is 5338.
 


who knows, he did get it from a dealership. but it could have been a fake, im not sure on the awd on any other pick ups but the SS tho. and it was awd for sure.

I'm voting real (not to mention real slow) because there isn't a front bed side cladding piece that will fit an 8' bed. That looks like a 6.5 to me.
 
just spoke to my bro, the races went like this, from a dig pretty much a tie, the ss may have won but it was close and a long time ago, from a 30 roll the yukon won by a fender. thats still not saying much for a SS 6.0 vs a 5.3 yukon if you ask me. stock vs stock.

Yep, that's pretty pathetic. SS Trucks have 4.10s, and let me assure, will (or should) yank a 5.3 anywhere, at any speed, and twice on Sunday.

To bad you can't see my GT in the picture, in the left lane ahead of the SS. I had about 1/2 car length on him. LOL
 
My 5.3 Silverado will take a stock GT, with a load of crap in the back. :cool: It's simply built to get off the line better and then the top end of the LS type motor kicks in and says.. bye bye

But can it take the SS like the Tahoe? That's the question.
 


moral of the story is. the grand prix gt is faster than anything on this forum.
i got this conclusion from the last few kill threads. they beat wrx's they will kill tahoe's
 
I used to beat my buddy's 06 yukon denali (6.0 vortec) by 1/2 to 1 car length from a dig with my GT. It would be neck and neck from a roll. That was until he did headers, dual exhaust, and a CAI, then he'd have me by 1-2 cars til 170(km/h)
