electronic oil pressure guage

Matt Palm

WHERES THE LAMB SAUCE?!?!
so i bought a couple gauges from swiggles about 2 months ago put them in a pod and thats about as far as i got. i have no idea how to install this sensor where do i even screw it in? and he said that i need a 3/8th to 1/8th npt fitting? does that sound about right

You remove your factory oil sending unit and screw the new one in it's place. Yes, you will likely need an adapter. Most aftermarket sending units do. They are easy to find at most auto parts stores. This is a pic of my o/p gauge sending unit. This is where the factory one will be. Remove the stock, add the adapter and screw the new one in. (I drained my oil first, to avoid any messes)

when you pull the stock sensor, have a small pail under it to catch the oil that will leak out, it will only leak about a 1/4 quart or so, not to much really. then check and top off your oil. wash the oil down with brake cleaner. it will leak all over the axle.

i have to change my oil soon anyways so i will just do it all at once. thanks keith i couldnt find any decent pictures or diagrams on google
