Electrical issues after bypass hose ruptures on 04 GTP

I'm looking to get some advice on what my next steps should be. ! have a 04 GTP with 110k miles.

A few days ago, one of my bypass hoses ruptured and shot really nasty and rusty looking antifreeze all over the inside of the engine compartment. I took care of the bypass hose issue and flushing the system to clean it out. My problem now is that it appears that my alternator crapped out because I was getting the message of 'SYSTEM NOT CHARGING' on the DIC. I'm assuming the antifreeze got into the alternator and screwed it up. I also think I may have a short somewhere else because the battery died over night. Yesterday I also noticed the battery voltage on the DIC was fluctuating erratically between 13.4V and 14.8V. While this was going on I also noticed I could hear the engine whining through my speakers. When the whining stopped, the voltage also steadied off. Does anyone have any thoughts on the whining issue. Is this maybe a bad ground wire or a loose connection somewhere?

Another question I have is what would be the best way to clean all of the remaining antifreeze off the engine and all of the rest of electrical parts. Would power washing or steam cleaning be a good solution?

Any help is appreciated.

Everything was snug on the alternator. I disconnected the battery and the connections were pretty nasty. They were covered with the antifreeze that exploded everywhere. I cleaned them off and replaced the battery connectors. I haven't driven it lately but I keep trying to start it at different times of the day and it has been starting every time. Hopefully the battery connection was the problem.
Thanks
