egr removal

When I did my removed my egr I used the plates from Milzy Motorsports

Howdy All:

Since the EGR lowers combustion temps and increases millage at cruising speeds. And is closed at WOT, why block it off?

I am new to GPs and really am curious about this.

the main reasons are:

a) to keep intercooler cores clean
b) to clean up the engine bay
c) to delete it when it dies or has a leak for a cheaper solution
