EGR issues. Need help

Sorry guys. I tried a search, but egr must be to small of a word. Anyways, wifes 2000 gtp engine code 1 has had a code for faulty egr. I replaced it with a new delco unit, cleared the code, drove it about 35 miles, and the light came back on for faulty egr. Is there some other place I should be looking? Is there a relay, or fuse, or solenoid that might have failed. I know on B-bodys, there is a vacuum solinoid for the egr that can go bad, but W-bodys are controlled electrically, so I am not sure the cause. The code is p0400.

Searching "faulty EGR problems, or EGR Trouble code 440" may have brought up more searches, but thats in the past.

Check the connecters, wires etc etc. Take off the EGR tubing and everything and clean it, see if anything is in the way.
