so its bulky its messy and I can extinguish the code its gotta go my main concern is not having to have the unit bolted on at all I've seen alot of people say get the holes welded where others say nickels dimes penny and some rtv will do the trick. this is coming half way through the installation of new headers so that bolt holding the exhaust hose to the egr is coming off anyway.

questions

the hose leading into the intake can just be cut and left hanging sucking up clean air to my understanding if I didnt want the hose hanging off can I take it entirely off mount a nickel to the inside of the bracket and bolt it on blocking the whole

the bottom one is the one that bother me it leads up from the rear header and appears to be screwed in with the header itself but I wonder if for this one I could do what I intended for the upper part and cut hose mount coin remount hose bracket

you need to block off both, you cant leave them open.

I only have a picture of the exhaust one, its a gooped mess, but you get the picture.

awesome and I get another excuse the throw some red engine enamel in the bay (to cover up the rtv sealant)

If I had tits id show em to ya thanx alot man :P

You need a couple of these:

You will need to block off the rear manifold as Cam showed, and also the Intake manifold. If you dont, you will have a major vac leak. But, it is worth it to delete the EGR. I had to reinstall my egr to pass inspection, and in the 4 days I had the EGR connected, my throttle body got dirty as shít. This is my throttle body after 6 years of no EGR and no cleaning:

yeah i didnt wanna order those and kinda decided to delete egr on the fly while doing headers should have a write up with some pics after this weekend

yea defidently use a penny it fits the best with some rtv. make sure you cover that whole on your headers where your EGR valve goes into or it will create a nasty exhaust leak. Also when you put the penny mod onto the bottom of your manifold where the other piece of pipe goes from your egr make sure and check the heater. Because on my 07 when i tried the penny mod when i would turn on the heater it was blowing the exhaust fumes into my car. Me and my wife almost past out we didnt even know till we both felt light headed and like throwing up. So when i removed that penny mod and put a brand new EGR valve because i cut the other one up. The heater was all better. Sounds weird but it happened to me during the winter when i needed the heater

The pieces that are on the tubes of your EGR can be removed and used with a penny and RTV. Not sure why you'd pay for a piece of metal when you have everything you need on hand (well except for a couple of cents)

I used coins and RTV, but the exhaust coin started leaking. I had that one welded. The coin in the intake side is still hanging in there.
