The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.
Disconnect the electrical connector ontop of the EGR, unbolt the EGR from the engine, and block off the 2 inlet ports (one on the lower intake manifold, and one on the read exhaust manifold).
It will keep your intake manifold cleaner (no recycled exhaust gases), and your temperatures a little lower. You may notice a slight drop in fuel mileage though (some people do, some don't). I like it mainly because it cleans up my engine bay, and my EGR was leaking, and annoyed the hell out of me.
just to clarify, deleting the egr RAISES egt's. The egr is used to cool off combustion temps by recirculating exhaust gases through the intake. It's taking the place of fresh air fuel charge. The already burnt exhaust is cooler than a fresh/ new explosion. This is why the PCM commands more timing with egr on, to increase lost cylinder pressure (lost through the decrease in torque from the deluted a/f charge) and the cooler temps allow more ignition lead.
