ECU Problem, Emissions can't scan my car, Error shows up on their scanner

My question is, why my ecu cannot be read my emissions testing etc. Everything in my car runs fun, EVERYTHING, but when it comes to it being read by emissions and what not, it wont read correctly? Why is that?

do they plug it into the obd2 port? If so your fuse maybe blown its the same fuse for the cig lighter.

yeah they do and it comes up as a like an error or they cannot read it, and its weird because everything in my car works fine

Your fuse is probably blown check it out and see if it is blown.

there's a blue wire hanging near the port that looks to be either cut or ripped off, could that be the cause of an error reading?

Not sure what that blue wire goes to but it can't hurt anything to hook it back up and see if it makes any difference.

if your cigg lighter works, then its not the fuse.

fuse would be in the fuse panel in car. check your owners manual.


yes. hook up that blue wire that is ripped/cut.. or post a pic.. taht is likely the issue.

the blue wire is located right above the break pedal and is just hanging there
