I was cruisin on the ave tonight and noticed that this punk behind me kept speeding up right onto my bumper and then slowing down and speeding up.. then he flew by me. So we get to a red light and i didnt really wanna race cauz the roads are wet and i know that i wouldnt really be able to get traction until like 40.. But i went anyway ha i pulled on him immediately and once i really gained traction i was gone.. probably pulled about 3 cars on him at 65 mph. It was funny tho cauz he was acting all big. Then he continued to try and race literally everyone on the road.

Oh btw it was one of those new eclipse gt's the ones with the bubble ass.

Yes i know what your going to say.. "Cool story bro!"

Hah

Nice kill...

I know it's just my opinion, but those cars are so damn ugly. The gen before those was even uglier. Eclipses IMO, went to piss after the 2nd gen.

Considering they trap over 100 mph stock. You must have alot of work done

Not really, minor work can achieve this with a L67... Besides they trap just under 100mph stock, unless you have the perfect conditions with the perfect driver (this is rare tho). They weight in at "3,200 - 3,700 lbs depending on configuration", with a 3.8L NA motor pushing 265hp & 262lb-ft. "With the standard 6-speed manual transmission, the Eclipse GT can accelerate from zero to 60 mph in about six seconds." They are not slow by any means, but while also turning 18" rims and tires they won't perform much better than our GTPs. Given they turn a normal 14.2 - 14.6 1/4mile time around 97-99mph according to a minute of Google searching. :th_winking:

Mid low 14s are doable with our cars stock if you can hook and go on a good day with little to no mods. Sub 14s with 3.4" pulley mods.

Also factor in with a manual tranny your more likely to spin during the WET ROAD CONDITIONS at which this was taking place. If the driver didn't factor this in, he was spinning the entire time.

PS: NICE KILL!, now do it again during the day time, when its dry, and video it for us :P

Nice kill. The newer GT's are fun to drive, lots more power than my older '03 GT, too bad they're ugly as all get out.

And I agree on the statement of the 2G's being the best looking ones. I loved my '95 Eclipse.
