I had an '03 Eclipse GT and would still have it if a T-Bird didn't pull a U-turn in front of me...

Anyway, I have a catback, intake, and shifter in it and when my '05 GTP was stock it would have still sh*t all over the GT... The only thing they've got going for them is the short gears. On takeoff the GT would pull you until you'd catch traction, then you'd walk off and leave it no problems.

I'd have to say this though, my GT sure did sound pretty damn good, almost as good as my old '95 eclipse RS with full 3" header back exhaust.

Buddy of mine bought an 02 Eclipse GT 2 weeks after I got my GTP. I had CAI on that was it and we messed around a bit he took me off the line just because he could gas it without having to worry about spinning the tires and I had to ease into it but after I passed him I would let him play catch up.

I out ran a 98 mustang with a 5.0 crate motor in my gt. He tried too pass me so I just matted in and it was on a mile stretch and by the time I got too the end was a sharp corner so I drifted around and I remember looking in the mirror and he had too be I wann say about 11 car lengths behind me and when I looked at the speedometer I was only going 90 and he was trying too catch up too me going down the rest of the road

I ran a 14.9 in my wifes stock 03 eclipse GTS. When I had a 3.8 pulley [plog set up from a 60 roll it was a dead even run. from a 20 roll Id walk away. The eclipses have a strong top end. Must have been a GS/RS you ran. No way could you gas let off and gas and walk away from a eclipse GT based of the mods in your signature and a highway roll. IMO

Uhm I personally Have a 04 GTS and it can't compete unless RIPP superchargers are installed. Yeah they also do have a strong top end but they have pretty weak bottom ends. I have N1 iNVDIA exaust, Headers, Short Throw, and a CAI running around 225HP @ 5400 and that's pretty decent for these. 3G Eclipses aren't too great compared to the 2G and 4G. My Wife and I did a 0 MPH Pull and a 40 MPH Pull and I won every time in my GTP. We swapped and She won in the GTP. I've tried and failed numerous times to try and beat my GTP and I haven't unfortunately. I must be a bad driver or something? I love my 40th Anni GTP Coupe. Great kills, and I also agree G8 is awesome, and great looking to boot!
