EBC vs Hawk Brake pads or better?

Hey guys! I need new pads on my GXP and I wanted everyones suggestion on which pads are better for aggressive/High performance

Better for what?

The more track ready the pad is, the more dust, the shorter life, the more they squeal at low temps. The tradeoff is they won't fade as quickly, or worse yet again, leave you stranded all of a sudden with no brakes.

Now I had EBC Reds, and they will fade, somewhat suddenly, but not terribly so. I presently have Stoptech street pads, I have yet to get any fade. They seem to bite harder and harder the hotter they get. Never pushed them as far as the reds though. They have been reported to be okay with autoX and very light track duty.

They can be a tad squealy in the cold. They don't like to grab when cold. They dust heavily, but are relentless. The EBC Reds were quieter than the Stoptechs, but the Stoptechs seem to bite a lot better when warmed up.

Hawks are hit and miss, it seems. Pretty much what I've heard about any company other than the bigger more costly names, like Carbotech and Stoptech etc. In short: no personal experience there. Stoptechs were cheaper, so I went for those.

I run Performance Friction Carbon Metallic and I have the same results Matt was talking about. Very weak when cold but once they get warm they are nice and sticky. There is almost no fade, and they last a LONG time. But I do get squeal at low speeds.

Yeah I have the R1 rotors and I love them and I currently have Red stuff (almost shot) but I'm looking for something better

for a long lasting pad and incredible performance I use the carbotech ax6 on the race car, they dust like crazy but have never had any pads that last as long and perform with no fade on the GXP front and rear like we have, they are pricy but if you call them they have the formulation in stock. they had to make it for us since they never had a GXP listing till we had them make it
