Easy way to install a new wheel stud?

One of my wheel studs got stripped as I was putting the lug net back on. I got the bad stud out fine with a hammer. Now I'm hoping to put the new stud in without removing the hub. Any suggestions? This is for a front wheel. I can't get a good angle with a hammer.

Ah, that's it. Thanks. I was trying to use a clamp, a screwdriver, all sorts of things. When I tried just putting the lug nut on, it was eating into the rotor. Some large washers will do it. Thanks!

In my other thread regarding the brake job itself, it was suggested to just put the wheel on and tighten it up. It pulled the stud along, and when it couldn't tighten it by hand anymore, I knew it was through. Put about 35 miles on it as I drove to Autozone to return some stuff, no problem.

They are a pain in the ass... you just have to man up and go hard at it.. when you think its in all the way pull in 2 more times. The studs rely on you pulling them into the metal so they bite into it.
