E85 no tune

Hmm i'm not sure If I'll be up that area this summer since i'll be in Iowa for most of the summer. I guess I can find some around here in iowa. Can anyone tune near Iowa City? Do you know if anyone else makes a "canned tune" for e85? Frosty? Reptile? Maybe i'll shoot them a Pm.
 


We'll be going to the Ice Cream Cruise in Ohama, Neb. this summer.

I'm sure you can hook up with someone there for a few bucks.

And get a tune too.
 
alright sounds good, I still would like to try and find a tune before then... Hopefully someone does it here
 


Safety for the most part, just don't want to mess anything up since i'll be relying on the car for a while. And of course performance, maybe a lil mpg too if i could. I know its gunna be worse but any help, helps lol.
 
Its hard to tune something that is already tuned correctly.... overkill wont touch it because he is clueless and i wont touch it because i dont sell snake oil.
 


I ran it for a month + without a tune. The only reason i even bought a tuner is cause i'm camming my car and needed to for that. It ran perfect with just bigger injectors on my overkill tune. A little lean, but still good.

A check engine light means the car doesn't like what's going on. End of story. I'm tired of reading this ****.

Get tuned for E85, not just put injectors in. It's not that ****ing hard, and it's not snake oil

Well... cause, like, advocating to operate the engine outside its designed tolerances isn't selling Snake Oil! : )

same as running a 3.4, 3.2 without a tune... Sure you can, you can buy a new engine too! It's so indicative of how a LITTLE knowledge can be a dangerous thing.

Overkill has sound knowledge and is backed by many a satisfied persons, customers and more!
 
A member local to me shot me a pm, he's got HpTuners and said he's willing to let me use it to tune my car. However, both of us have 0 knowledge of tuning so we would need a lot of help.
 


There are more than enough methods on here to get you where you need to be. Look up 97autoxvette or frostys method and have at it.

time for both of you to start learning. why have it if your not willing to try to understand it.

what you need to change for cold starts has been documented in a few threads already.
