E85 Conversion

Hey guys. I have been seriously considering converting my 1997 GTP over to E85. My only concern is that i have a metal gas tank and I have read that the ethanol can be corrosive to the tank and that i should either switch over to a plastic tank or use some type of gas tank sealant before the conversion?? Anyone heard about this? Or anyone with a 97 running E85 ? Already have a fuel pump and rewire and injectors on the list, just wanted to make sure i got everything covered before i pull the trigger. Thanks!!
