**Dynotech Modified Intense Gen 2 LSD** Question!

Let say that I plan to buy a built trans that has a Dynotech Modified Intense Gen 2 LSD installed.

Why is this LSD not offered anymore by Intense? Nor does ZZP or Wbody store even offer an LSD. Is this due to a lot issues?

Does it require special fluid? What did Dynotech do to modify it?

I don't know what dynotech did to modify it, but intense lsd's were not a very good product. And, they got worse with every revision.

Being the trans has a 15/16 chain and 3.29's Just pull that diff out and slap a stock hd one in place and be golden?

I have one of the intense lsd, they are supposed to be garbage thats why the stopped making them. With that said mine hasnt broke yet but im sure it will. I have never heard anything good about them.

Then Shea, that would be the next thing I'd do to that car. Put in a stock diff and relish in the longevity.

I'm a regular there. :)
It's not hard, but it's time consuming and it takes you holding your tongue right to get the gears to slip in. An hour of work without beer, 5 with. LOL

Beer relaxes the install. I love how some pop into place in seconds and others tax your patience. FWIW when an Intense diff blows.. all the metal is in the pan and filter. So it doesn't destroy the trans. Not ideal...but better than totalling it out.

Pat.. you do know that 15/16 chains tend to break before they stretch right?

I was actually told this the other day Bill. I'm glad there is a picture to prove. My old gtp was running one and Keith sprayed the **** outa the car and never missed a beat. Weird.

That picture was from a local down here that got the trans off FB. Had me install it and it had an odd feeling from the start. Next morning on his way to work w/o putting any power to it, what you see happened. That was when I went up and grabbed Mike's GXP trans and rebuilt a trans with the GXP parts in the regular case.
