Dyno #'s

Hello went to a local guy using HPtuner that alot of local F-Body and vette guys use. Myself and two of my friends went today and all of us got dyno tuned. Just wanted to say thanks to clint from A.I.R here in colorado. I have paper graphs, ill try to take a photo and post them up. But the basics are. Stock 244.1 a common number. My max power on pull no 5 was 264, and the one on pull no.6 was 258. Not sure where my max tq lands. With the TQ lock vs unlocked. But on my 6th pull had a peak of 322.4 to match my 258.. But what was really awsome is that from about 3,000RPM's to 5,000RPM i gained on average 30hp

its a dynojet, so theres no load on the car. take your numbers and divide them by 1.135 and thats what it really is

Why do u say that. the stock 244 is what ALOT of guys have put donw. u figure a 20% drivetrain loss from the stock 303 ur right at the 244hp area

It may already be corrected for that factor. I'm hoping that, by now, the majority of dyno shops are working at making correction factors that give more consistent numbers that aren't so manufacturer specific. I dunno, though. Just more food for thought...

This a very common dynoshop in my area doing anything from 100hp honda to 800hp vette's and vipers. I feel confident all correction factors were there. This includes elevation. Im at 5000ft. We did look at the uncorrected number too on a couple pulls, I dont rember what the numbers were but when u take the altitude correction, the number sucks lol.

im saying the dynojet compared to the mustang dyno does not put a load on the rollers, so they just spin, hence why i told you do divide by 1.135, correction factor has to do with altitude and DA, not the rollers

Is everything else still stock? You picked up all of that HP just by removing torque management? Or did you change A/F ratios and spark timing? Finally, was this with 91/93 octane?

I have a different Air Filter at the time/ NOT A CAI/K&N full intake. Rest of the car stock... This is with 91 octane...This is the hightest we can buy in colorado... A/F ratio's were changed, timing was changed, and more. i did not do this myself. There is a local shop/tunner that basically works on GM high performance cars/trucks, vette's, F-bodys, GTO's, ect. I dont know about removing the TQ management. Do not know if that was done or not.

Panther, I too live in Colorado, I have only seen one other 2007 or 2008 Black Grand Prix GXP cruising around these city streets maybe it was yours??? (lol). Where about in Colorado do you live?

What shops was it that you had Dyno done on, shoud be interesting to see if our figures match?

I promised long time ago I would post pics here but never did. I'm starting to enjoy my car again (long story) so I'm thinking of adding CAT exhaust and K&N Air Intake, so some advice on what things I can add to my car I sure would appreciate it!

Thanks
Jamie

im up in greeley is my home base. You need to join coloradoLSX.com Thats where i found my tunner. His name is Clint runs a company with a partner called A.I.R.. i believe Altitude Intense Racing. His shop is in brighton. how ever he does his dyno tunes usually at dynopros off of Peco's and I-76 in Denver. I know he has traveled down to the springs to do a dyno tune before. Join up over there bunch of nice guys and i wont feel so lonely as the only one with a LS4.. I had got a small meet together right after i joined there actually. Ya id be really curious as to what numbers you would be putting down. If they were close to mine or not. My name is the same over there. nice having some guys close to home to deal with. SORRY mods hope im not breaking any rules far as sponserships on the site.

I lived in Greeley for a year moved back to Denver last January so perhaps that's where I saw your car (Hwy 34), is it black like mine?

Also I lied about seing only one other 07 GXP a guy I worked with in the oilfield had the same car kind of purple, other than that, that's all I've seen around here.

MMM i want that purple color i think it looks pretty good and one of the rarest colors....I have the Liquid Silver(i think thats the name). Hey get your car dynotuned.

Well im gonna assume you have herd of chipping your car using products such as Diablo tunner, SuperChips, then there is replacement computers from companys such as vectormotorsports and other. The purpose of this is to change multipul setting within the factory computer to increase power. Basically a performance mod. A dyno tune is a custom tune for you car. Kinda like buying a tailored suit vs. buying one at walmrt. Which would u rather have? Thats up to you. However i found a dyno tune to be cheaper and did as good, or better than other tuned/chip/ options.
