Dumb question......

Why do you want to leave that tubing? Just asking. Get rid of that corrugated tubing, it's a restriction In air flow!
 




I asked why you left the corrugated tuning, you said it looks 10x cleaner, I said cleaner? Inthink it looks worse than building your own
 
The rubber coupling I used to attach the maf to the throttle body I used a drill bit, drilled a hole into the side if it and popped it right in, looks clean as couldbe

not trying to be a dick.. trust me.. I like your car and your a good guy..... I like my **** clean.. maybe your version and mine are different.. To me.. Your intake looks hacked... Mine looks stock w a different filter.. Your MIGHT flow more but Im guessing not much, but it still looks cheap like you use fittings from the plumbing department at home depot
 


Actually I did use a Fernco coupling from my shop, reason being the rubber matrial use to make these due to pressure ratings is a lot thicker than the cheap **** you buy from an auto parts store, so that it will support the filter and hold up more, and to each his own I guess. And if you want your stuff clean, don't hack it by just putting a filter on the end, spend the money and buy an intake, then it will look clean
 
No offense taken, like I said to each his own. I had the same thing you did, and I hated it. I never even wanted to open my hood. But I like this a lot better, if I bought a 45 and another coupler it would be the same thing, but the least distance and less bends makes for better air flow. My job is moving air and making it hot or cold, so air flow is kinda my thing lol. If I still had my original air box I would use my meter and test cfm but I threw it out like a dumb arse lol

because the ribs inside the duct are restrictive.
although you probably arent really flowing too much air to have a restriction.
