Dual Heat-exchangers

A few guys have been asking about my dual exchanger setup so instead of answering 100 people Ill just make a thread and direct those curious to here. I did this for a few reasons... 1. See if I can get my temps lower (duh) 2. free up the front air dam to keep air flowing to the radiator and 3. be unique (Ive never seen this before).

So, after some measuring and research, I went online and grabbed a pair of these Water to Air Radiator Cooler . I then went to ACE hardware and picked up quite a bit of 1' tubing just so I didn have to go back for more. I removed my splash guards on the front fenders, completely cut out my fog lights and mounted the exchangers here.

With the guards removed and the fog lights gone, air flow should be no problem especially with the forward spin of the tires...

Then I "engineered" a coolant bottle from a 97/98...

As you may notice, the bottom hole is bigger as the tubing I used from the res until the pump is all bigger. In theory this will help cool it even more.

So the setup goes as follows...

Core
res
Driver HE
Pass HE
pump
back to core

So far I have noticed an improvement in temps driving around town but haven had much time to do any "performance" testing yet. Odds are I probably wont see a big enough change to really do much performance wise but we shall see...

Looks sweet, if it really does work that is. I know no one does twincharge setups but this would give some room for a turbo a/a also.

ooooo those dont look quite adequate for cooling enough for a blower and turbo w2a ic. I applaud your efforts though. Im always open to ideas an innovative solutions.

I think there may be more viable options though. To me those look like oversized oil/trans coolers. Get some temp sensors in those little fkers and report back.

theres someone on here now with a twincharged setup.......you know i was about to post that then realized its you. im retarded

....Im not, nor am I going twincharged...

Plus, if you take the dimensions of the 2 exchangers, its the same size as one large front mount... the link to the dimensions of them are in the post they aren as small as they look (if I had a dollar everytime Ive said that in life)....

Yea the pics look deceiving. This set up reminds me of the A2A inter-coolers on Stealths and 300GT's. I'm very interested in the data.

Ordered a water gauge as now im curious... added 2* of timing and still no kr but i also have no evidence it is due strictly to the new setup.... sooooo gauge time.
