Dropped Boost After Headers

Used to peak at 8.7ish psi and now it won't even hit 7. Probably a nub question, but is that supposed to happen or did I spring me a vacuum leak during the install? I have a 3.4 and pcm to be installed just being lazy right now...Also a 3 jaw pulley puller is what I use for the pulley right? Others have told me to use a 2 jaw one but I'm a little leary on that.

Your boost will drop with the headers since you can flow a lot more air through the motor now. For the puller you want to get the one that ZZP has or a similar one. You can rent them also.

Thought so! Me and my buddy thought the same thing but I wasn't sure, thanks man!

Yeah I've been trying to rent a puller from the local Advance Auto but EVERY time I go there, it's out! I might as well just buy the damn thing...

Yeah, you drop boost when you flow better, same thing happens when you cam the car, or install high ratio rockers.
Looking at your mods, you might wanna kick some Autolite 104's now, to keep it safe.

You will ruin your snout trying to use a three jaw puller. rent one from a vendor site the supports the whole back of the pulley.

if you dont want to buy a puller u could always remove the nose cone off the supercharger and take to a local machine shop and have them press the pulley off and press the new one on it shouldnt cost but about 20 bucks or so plus the oil for the supercharger. i chose to go this route cause it was cheaper. a regular jaw puller wont work. they will warp the pulley or mess up the shaft end.

Right...your not really "losing" boost IMO, your just flowing it better. You still make as much power as before, if not more...you just make it more effieciently...at least thats the way I look at it.

i was just making sure lol. it was a stupid question lol. im beating my head on the wall because i cant find a deep socket 15mm to get the coil pack bracket off so i can get heads off, smh the heat has got to me lol

IIRC any auto parts store stocks deep well 15's because I just lost mine and had to go buy another one when I put everything back together on mine...I got a 1/2" drive too and it worked great...

sorry I should have been more specific. I'm making less boost, which is a good thing. Let's not get all technical now.
