Drivers window switch works backwards??

Up is down and down is up lol. The passenger window works fine. I just bought this car not to long ago and noticed in the glove box a receipt for a window regulator. Is it possible the regulator was plugged in backwards or something? I would think not but I know the switch cannot be plugged in wrong so I am unsure what else it could be.

Ideas, suggestions would be appreciated.

i would open the door and check the wires, you never know. does sound like its wired backwards.

I've had this happen w/ aftermarket regulators/motors (2 in fact). Just pull the door panel and switch the 2 wires around at the motor plug. Problem solved.

Thanks, I will have to try that. I just had the door apart earlier today and didn't even think to look at that. Just put all new pins in and put it back together lol.

good news is you know how to get the door skin off now lol second time is super easy.
