• The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

Driver side window not going up.

One day I put the window down and tried going up but wouldn't. I not trying to get it fixed yet, I just need it back up. It's so cold here right now and driving in this cold without the window is even worse.

I can get the panel off but how do I manually get the window up and stay up? 01 gp gt powered windows of course.

The back windows can usually be pushed back up into place... the front ones, not so much. You could disconnect the window motor from the window inside the door panel.... a couple T-25 bits behind the door handle and a bunch of plastic pins are all that holds it in anyway... but if you're going to go that far you might as well replace the window motor. A bunch of 10mm bolts hold it to the door frame

Two 10mm bolts hold the glass to the regulator. Unbolt those.. slide window up and wedge something under to hold it up. Done.

Wouldn't it jolt it and possibly shatter it? I heard there's a way to do it from the motor itself. Like manually turn it or with a drill.
