• The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

Drive belt snapped in half

Actually flush was done, oil change (with lucas oil stabalizer), and a side marker light was all done for that price. So all in all. Not too bad I think.

you could have done the flush for 12 bucks, the oil another 20. the marker lamp, 2 bucks for 2 bulbs. and you'd have the spare bulb, not them lol

its still painful.

The tensioner is a maintenance item and will need to be replaced again eventually. I paid to have my first one replaced. I have since joined forums and done a lot of reading and saved lots of $$$$ doing things myself. Lots of great guys willing to share their knowledge.

Relationship politics, just like government politics, flawed. The reason I'd hate to spend that much is not only because I'm a college student with a part time job, but also because if you get a few repairs done like that, you'll put as much money in it as it's worth multiple times.

^ Like he said. I prefer doing things myself. However, to have a happy Marriage. She needs to ein once in a while. And in turn I win.:rolleyes:

With one 15mm socket you could have released the tension on the tensioner pulley and put a new belt for $25/$30, replacing the entire tensioner? $50 and just a few minutes of your time, just three bolts holding the alternator on then three bolts holding on the tensioner, you could have even replaced the coolant elbows with nice aluminum ones that won't crack on you for $7 or $8 bucks. They really screwed you over.

You know it @ChrisL. I usually DIY but that is normally with Computers. lol.
